Crystal Lagoons® project in Thailand “Blue Tree Phuket”, will be opening from this Saturday July 3 onwards, after received SHA Plus Certification from the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA).
The lagoon is South East Asia’s first Public Access Lagoon™ project, also known as PAL™ projects, to which the general public is able to access via ticketed entry. Since opening in August 2019, the complex has become a success, as have all PAL projects by Crystal Lagoons around the world.
The project, which received a US$ 40 million in investments, is the main family attraction on the iconic tourist island of Phuket, which has boosted local tourism.
The impressive complex features a four-storey beach club, fitness zone, kid’s club, multiple retail spaces and multiple restaurants and is anchored by a huge Crystal Lagoons water feature.
Blue Tree Phuket is ideally situated in Cherngtalay, Phuket, and offers an experience like no other. Spanning across 56 acres of land, this versatile entertainment facility provides guests with a range of activities to suit every need, including a spectacular Crystal Lagoons® amenity.
The 1.7-hectare man-made lagoon created by Crystal Lagoons is surrounded by white sand beaches and offers a variety of water activities and games for children and adults alike, such as the slip n fly, waterslides, cliff jumping & rock climbing, and splash zones.
Sustainable technology
The construction costs for a lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons technology are very low, even lower than those of a park of the same size. In addition, operating costs are very low, due to the efficient use of safe additives and energy.
This revolutionary technology also stands out for its low water consumption, as it operates in a closed circuit, needing only to replace the water that is lost through evaporation. In comparison, a 1-hectare lagoon consumes only 50% of the water required for the maintenance of a park of the same size, and a lagoon of average size consumes around 30 times less than a golf course.
