Crystal Lagoons projects are globally recognized for their innovation, design, sustainability, social impact, and commercial success.
Recently, two projects were honored once again. Munyaka, featuring the largest crystalline lagoon in South Africa near Johannesburg, and Tilal Al Ghaf in Dubai. Both were awarded in the Africa & Arabia’s Bests category at the International Property Awards.
In the Midrand region, Munyaka, developed by Crystal Lagoons in partnership with the country’s leading developer, Balwin Properties, covers an area equivalent to seven rugby fields.
Previously recognized by the International Property Awards, Munyaka achieved a milestone in sales, with 550 apartments sold in just four days. Due to its spectacular features, the President of the Republic of South Africa has praised this ultra-luxury residential complex as a magical place of significant urban contribution and, according to the global press, “Johannesburg’s first beach.”
Since its launch, the Tilal Al Ghaf project, developed by Crystal Lagoons in partnership with significant real estate holdings in the Middle East and North Africa, Majid Al Futtaim, has broken several records. Sales from the third phase of development witnessed an unprecedented demand, with 322 homes sold in just 48 hours, following the resounding success of the initial phases that sold out within seven days.
The central amenity is its 7-hectare crystalline lagoon, surrounded by white sandy beaches using Crystal Lagoons® technology. This turquoise water body will be the main element of the 4,000 residential units within the project. Tilal Al Ghaf also offers retail services, a world-renowned school, tree-lined trails, 18 km cycling and jogging paths, and nature-inspired outdoor services.
