Crystal Lagoons adds another award to its extensive list of international recognitions. This time, the prestigious International Property Awards, which distinguishes excellence in design, innovation, and sustainability in real estate projects worldwide, has awarded the PAL® development in Romania, Lagoon Park Bucharest. The project triumphed in the “Leisure Development” category, highlighting the transformative impact of Crystal Lagoons® technology in this iconic European city by bringing the idyllic beach lifestyle to Bucharest and redefining the urban landscape with an unprecedented entertainment offering in the region.
This achievement joins other Crystal Lagoons projects that have been honored with the same award in different markets, such as Munyaka in South Africa, Tilal Al Ghaf in Dubai, and Santa Rosalía in Spain, among many others.
Lagoon Park Bucharest, part of the exclusive Central District Lagoon City megaproject, has generated a phenomenon since its pre-opening. Tickets sold out a week in advance, and visitors waited in lines exceeding two hours, reflecting the enormous demand to experience the monumental crystalline lagoon, suitable for swimming and water sports, accessible to all through ticketed entry, bringing a unique Caribbean-style experience to the heart of Bucharest. The lagoon is surrounded by 11,000 m² of white sandy beaches, restaurants, beach bars, terraces, sports and events areas, exhibition halls, green areas, and bespoke services that will complement the lagoon, epitomizing the quintessential PAL® experience.
Lagoon Park Bucharest also features a 5-star Radisson hotel with 323 rooms and 400 luxury apartments for rent, 8,200 m² of class-A office space, retail areas, restaurants, cinemas, a sky bar, and a spa. It is being developed in partnership with Forty Management, a renowned and award-winning firm from Switzerland, with which the multinational innovation company has already built projects in Italy, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary.
